Maria Pilar Palos Nadal

mpalos@tiempobbdo.es

María Pilar is a graduate in Psychology from the Universitat de Barcelona, and the holder of a PDD in Business Administration from IESE. Over the years, María Pilar has learnt that what really matters is not where you are, it’s who you’re with – and being comfortable with what you do, and with the people you work, laugh and talk things over with.

Pepa Bartolomé

Strategy and Communications Executive Director

She studied Communication Sciences at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and has completed a PDG qualification at the ESADE business school, as well as various courses at the BBDO University. However, she owes most of what she knows about advertising to her career with Tiempo BBDO – since joining the agency many years ago, she has enjoyed an insider’s view of the development of the industry. She has been lucky enough to work with both Spanish and international clients from practically every sector, including energy, food, pharmaceuticals, detergents and electronics. Away from work, her passion is the sea and sailing, which takes up most of her free time with friends or family, and always puts a smile on her face.

With Tiempo BBDO Barcelona since 1988.

He has decided that work to live, because it works better and you only live once.
Besides writing and reading, is passionate about travel, cooking and planning. His weaknesses are his daughter and a Pitiusan Island.
It costs much more than doing one thing at a time, but is in it.

Jordi Comas

Creative Content Director
jcomas@tiempobbdo.es

27 years ago, he started out full of enthusiasm as a graphic designer. In 1990, Jordi discovered the world of advertising at BBDO. He then moved on to DMB&B to gain a different perspective, before returning to Tiempo BBDO Barcelona in 1996 – an experience he describes as “like coming home”. He is as excited about what he does today as he was 27 years ago. “Throughout my career, I’ve continued to grow,” he says. “I’m now almost two metres tall!”

With Tiempo BBDO Barcelona since 1996.

Siscu Molina

Chief Creative Officer

In a former life, Siscu was a DJ, a barman and an unsuccessful punk rock vocalist, before graduating in Advertising and Public Relations from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona in 1985. Over his career, he has worked on leading Spanish and international brands such as PepsiCo, Sony, Henkel, Damm, Marcilla, Bayer, Nestlé, Planeta, Gas Natural, La Caixa, the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and Roca, among many others. He has also served as judge at the leading international advertising festivals in Spain and internationally, and has lectured at various universities. These days, he is trying to strike a balance between the challenges of modern communications and family life. And if he still has any time left over, he loves exploring the Empordà region of Catalonia.

Tomás Ferrándiz

Creative Content Director.

Has worked on both big and small brands. A lover of technology in general and the Internet in particular, in his spare time Tomás is an avid blogger, and also lectures on new media at Complot. He believes that communication is all about getting the details right; that good ideas can tell their story without shouting; that people would rather be entertained than informed; that communicating these days is harder than it used to be, but also more exciting; and that in a world like advertising that seems to change every five minutes, you have to stay motivated at all times.

With Tiempo BBDO Barcelona since 2000.

Miquel Mas

Chief Executive Officer

As a young boy, he dreamt of being a film director, and this led him to take a Media Studies degree. Ultimately, however, Miquel ended up graduating in advertising in 1985. He joined Tiempo BBDO in 1987 and over the last 24 years he has worked on brands such as PepsiCo, Sony, Henkel, Damm, Marcilla, Bayer, Nestlé, Port Aventura, Bimbo, Eroski, Gas Natural, La Caixa, Allianz and Roca. In 2003, he took a PDG at the IESE business school and, over the years, he has been one of the keenest students at the BBDO and Omnicom University. He loves learning, and is still a massive film fan. He also likes jazz, an art form which provides him with his template for managing the agency: leaving room for improvisation and individual talent within the framework of a strong group. He gave up smoking in 2001.

ABOUT US

Tiempo is an advertising agency that was founded in Barcelona in 1960. From the outset the agency’s philosophy has been to go beyond advertising, by getting involved in our clients’ businesses, and to innovate, by creating ideas going beyond an advertising idea. In 1976, the multinational BBDO, in line with its policy of joining up with local agencies, put its name to the agency, but from the very beginning showed respect for the local leadership and its way of understanding advertising. And that is how it has been until now. Today, in spite of the far-reaching changes affecting the marketing and communication industry, our role remains the same: guiding the brands we work for, giving them a direction, a meaning and a personality. And creating relevant contents that connect emotionally with people to make them prefer one brand over another. Our way of working, of organising, of serving our customers is based on having an experienced senior team and surrounding it with specialists who cooperate with them. Instead of competing, we work as a team and practise creation. We like to be the hub of an open network of talent that will solve any business problem our clients may have. We work with communication specialists, but also with architects, computer programmers, designers, interior designers, chefs, film directors, painters, musicians, engineers and so on. For us, the future is not a continuation of the past, but something that depends on what you intentionally do to influence it. That is why we enjoy the challenge of finding new solutions to increasingly complex and sophisticated problems. So we will continue to continue along this path. Open to everything and everyone.
